Black Friday Sales Tips

Why Black Friday?

Black Friday is a relatively recent term, the day after thanksgiving sales had been going on for many years before they ever got to be known as Black Friday Sales.

Some people think that the term was coined as the sales were so huge that they would push the stores into profitability for the year. Other people say it was first used in the 1960's in Philadelphia due to the huge amount of foot traffic making the streets look black.

It is generally accepted that this is the busiest shopping day of the year, funnily enough it isn't! While the income from the black Friday sales isn't something to be sniffed at it isn't the businest day of the year.

What To Buy On Black Friday

The sales on black Friday are generally good indicators or what the world is looking at. It seems that every year is more and more electronics centric, Bigger TV's, video games and gadgets.

Black Friday 2009 may be a little different as we are in a recession but it is still likely that you are going to be bombarded with adverts for TV's so big they will make you feel like you are at a cineplex.

Black Friday is the day following Thanksgiving Day in the United States, traditionally the beginning of the Christmas shopping season.

This is absolutely the worst time to have to work in retail. I usually don't shop on Black Friday, but if I do I will surely consult your guide. Thanks for the info!
