Day After Thanksgiving Sales
Well it is here again, the Day after thanksgiving sale It seems to be coming around quicker and quicker each year but that could be my advancing old age of course.
Why are these sales such a big deal? Because the stores normally offer some crazy deals that you just can't miss out on. Well unless you realize that your bed is really warm and it is freezing out there!
I don't think i would describe the black friday sales as fun exactly but they are something that everone should experience once in their life. To watch the way that people shove and pull and push to save $5 on a pair of jeans is an amazing lesson in human psychology.
Not always a good lesson but a lesson none the less. There is almost always some tragedy or bad behavior that gets featured on the news at 5pm. One year someone died as they were crushed by the crowds storming into the store. Is that microwave at 50% off really worth someones life?

If you do decide to take part in the madness that is the Day After Thanksgiving Sales then it will pay to be prepared.
- Sleep - get enough sleep in the run up so you don't drop before all your shopping is done.
- Lists- Make lists of what you want to buy before you even look at the ads.
- Check every ad - Sometimes you can find the best bargains in the strangest shops
- Make a map - make notes of opening times and which stores are where
- Tag Teaming it helps -find someone else to go with you, they must be reliable and also not to shy!
- Shopping is War - well at least for this one day a year it is.
You can save a lot of money on big ticket items and I think this year may see even more bargains as shops fight for every dollar we are spending.
Remember though that every dollar you put on a credit card has to be paid back!
So if you aren't sure you can pay it back, don't buy it..Thanksgiving Shopping Madness
Save Even More Money With Coupons
As times have got tougher more and more companies are offering discount coupons on their products.
You probably think this only applies to food stuffs, you know the 20c-50c coupons you see mentioned against the tins of beans. However you will also find that there are discount coupons available for larger amounts on things like toys.
I know the idea of shopping on the Day After Thanksgiving is to save money, so why not take it a step further and use coupons to save even more money?

I always wondered how many people go home and then regret the purchases the day after.
We actually got to the front of the line with a TV one year and then stopped as we realized there are better ways to spend $500!
So who takes the loss if people return items that are brought in especially for the black friday sales?
The day after Turkey day is one filled with wonder and dread! Some great sales going on - but you have to gear up in battle armor to avoid getting clobbered by some house Mom on a mission! Great hub - will keep it bookmarked!
Sometimes I hate the thought of going out on Black Friday. Every year someone gets trampled, robbed, or killed. It's very dangerous so I sat at home drinking hot chocolate while the madness was going on.

I have a friend who works as a major manufacturer for Wal Mart. He says around 30% of all things bought get returned after Black Friday. It's an interesting statistic that maybe you should consider publishing :)
